Steffen Abel

Steffen Abel is a Member of the Management Board of Funk Versicherungsmakler GmbH. In addition, he is responsible for international client consulting through the global broker network Funk Alliance as well as the central support of Funk's offices in Austria, Poland, Italy, Hungary and Romania.

Steffen Abel, born in Bremen in 1990, first finished a bachelor's degree in insurance. He then completed his master's degree in insurance law in parallel with a trainee programme in the industrial client segment of a large German insurance company. Since 2017, he has been contributing his expertise to Funk's international department and, as head of the Funk Alliance Division since 2021, has been dedicated to the continuous expansion of the family-owned company's international professional and consulting expertise, among other things. He was appointed to the Management Board of Funk Versicherungsmakler GmbH on 1 January 2023.
